At GM Industries, precision does not stop at the machine tool. Every component we produce passes through a rigorous inspection protocol using calibrated metrology instruments before it leaves our facility. Our quality laboratory is equipped with instruments spanning 3D CMM inspection to surface texture analysis.

We believe measurement is as important as machining. Our QC team generates full dimensional reports for each batch, giving our customers complete traceability and confidence that every part meets drawing tolerances — no exceptions.

All instruments are maintained under an annual calibration schedule conducted by a NABL accredited laboratory, ensuring traceability to national and international measurement standards.

Inspection Instruments

State-of-the-art metrology equipment covering dimensional, geometric, surface, and profile measurement across all component types.

Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM)
3D dimensional inspection with sub-micron accuracy. Full geometric tolerance verification including position, perpendicularity, parallelism, and true position. Generates automated inspection reports against CAD nominal.
Sub-Micron Accuracy
Surface Roughness Tester
Ra measurement capability down to Ra 0.4µm. Verifies surface finish per drawing requirements across turned, ground, and milled surfaces. Digital readout with printable roughness profiles.

Roundness Tester
Cylindricity and roundness measurement to 1 micron resolution. Essential for shafts, bores, and precision bearing seats. Provides polar plots and roundness deviation charts for full geometric analysis.

Profile checking directly against drawing overlays at magnification. Ideal for small, complex profiles, thread forms, and intricate contours where tactile probing is impractical. Non-contact optical inspection.

Digital Micrometer Set
OD and ID measurement to 0.001mm resolution. Full range coverage from 0–300mm using a matched set of outside, inside, and depth micrometers. Digital readout with data output for SPC recording.

Flatness and height verification using digital height gauges referenced to Grade A granite surface plates. Establishes precise datums for component inspection and ensures flatness within drawing callouts.

Every Year

All Instruments Calibrated by NABL Accredited Laboratory. Our calibration program ensures every measurement made on the shop floor and in the quality lab is traceable to national and international standards.

Annual Calibration Cycle Every instrument is recalled and calibrated on a fixed annual schedule. No instrument goes beyond its due date in production use.
Traceability to National Standards Calibrations are performed by a NABL accredited laboratory, providing full traceability to NPL (National Physical Laboratory) India standards.
Calibration Certificates on Request Customers requiring calibration certificate copies for their supplier audits can obtain these on request. Full records maintained for each instrument.

Quality Process Flow

A structured four-stage inspection flow ensures every component is verified at critical production milestones — not just at final dispatch.

Receiving Inspection
Raw material certified and bar stock verified for grade, hardness, and dimensional conformance before entering the production queue.

In-Process Check
First-off inspection and periodic in-process checks during machining. Critical features measured before the next operation proceeds.
03
Final Inspection
100% batch inspection against drawing tolerances using CMM and dedicated gauging. All GD&T callouts verified and recorded.
04
Dispatch with Report
Batch cleared for dispatch only after full dimensional sign-off. Inspection report and material certificate dispatched with every shipment.
